GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Identify and implement best practice to increase the efficiency of the department on an ongoing basis Manage escalated service requests and incidents within the department Manage internal and external resources as needed to complete departmental objectives Review and approve all vendor invoices Provide feedback to management and users about training or abuse issues Direct the analysis of business requirements and the selection of technical solutions Oversee evaluation of proposed software, hardware, and services as appropriate Leads the preparation of project/contract/engagement reviews Participates in the creation of project, engagement and/or contract criteria Leads ongoing organizational capability improvement Cultivate, coach and mentor members of the technology and business communities Additional responsibilities as assigned SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES · Manage day-to-day data center operations including but not limited to o Windows Servers o Networking o Remote store operations o Mainframe o HP UX o Stratus · Establish a new data center to meet the companies long-term objectives o Remote monitoring (“lights out”) o Support business growth o Utilize “green” concepts to reduce power consumption · Implement advanced monitoring to ensure maximum up-time for all systems and technologies · Manage outsourced services o Mail room o Copy center · Responsible for receptions services at corporate headquarter building · Implement a continuous improvement program · Implement ITIL processes which directly impact data center operations o Change Management o Capacity Management o Availability Management o Configuration Management o Release Management o Problem Management · Manage financial budgets, contracts and 3rd parties to deliver service and meet SLA’s PERFORMANCE METRICS · Develop, maintain and publish a Dashboard and KPI’s on a periodic basis · Perform customer satisfaction surveys and publish the results on a quarterly basis · Provide variance reporting of budget versus actual on a periodic basis · Control the departmental costs to within established and approved budget Skills, Education, Training & Experience (or equivalent) Four year college degree or equivalent experience in a management position.
